Aldi's annual sale of bike kit starts on Thursday .... you may need to be quick - last year many things went very quickly.

To see what they'll be offering, click the link ... and look beyond the gardening stuff to the bike kit:

Aldi Bike Kit

I bought some of their stuff last year and have been very pleased with it.

No - they're separate but with essentially the same philosophy .... and, I believe, both German.

Each year both do bike stuff - some similar, some not so similar.
I tend to use Aldi (no Lidl nearby)

The tank bag looks useful - both magnetic and strap-down.

Except Aldi down here in Oz tend to carry food items and not much else. Despite what their catalogues say...

Actually, I did buy a tank bag last year - probably the worst of my bike related purchases from them.
Nothing wrong with the bag itself - it 's just that it really is a magnetic bag - the straps are supplementary and won't hold it alone.

I can use it as long as I double up with some bungees as well - but it's a bit of a phaff.

Nothing grabs my attention there at Aldi, though I did buy the Intercom and First Aid kit from Lidl. :smt003
Wont try the intercom, (rider to pillion), until me n the Missus go to the BMF Show in May, and I hopefully wont need to try the first aid kit, (its under the pillion seat)... :smt002

If it's still on (last time I looked at MCN it was in doubt) I will be at BMF in May. We should arrange a meet :smt006

Sweet - thanks for that D-Rider.

Looks like I might have to have a second look at the Oxford gear. (Especially the tailbag that can turn into a tank bag.)
