Hi all,
I've been looking for some armoured Jeans for short trips to the shops or my occasional 11m ride to work for ages. Looked at the Draggin and Red Route Ultimate Biker jeans. They all looked good but I didn't think they had enough Kevlar in them, they cost over £100 and I wanted knee armour as well. So then I came across the Australian Bikers Gear Jeans. 40% more kevlar and Knee and Hip pockets for the supplied armour. Good fit, same as my Levis and on ebay for £60 down from £94
Here's a link to the ebay page.

Nice to see they picture them with an Aprilia
Could it be they are pitching for a certain class of client

Looks as though they are trying to compete with price for the best, i.e. Hood jeans.

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I'm after some - and particularly some kevlar reinforced things that I could wear to work rather than my suit-type trousers (which are less than ideal for my commute ... but not much choice).
Much cheaper than the established brands but still a fearsome price compared to my normal £5 from Tescos jeans (though I think the last pair I bought might have gone up to £7 or something)

Bit worried by the photos - mostly of blokes' denim-clad bums
But they do look to be good value compared to other, better-known brands; but I'd be more interested if they offered hip armour, like Hood jeans

They do INCLUDE knee and hip armour. They say it is CE but it doesn't look like the stuff Hood offer. I tried it in the pockets provided but didn't like the look of it but kept the knee armour in.

I had a pair of Hood jeans. Very good quality, couldn't fault them. Bought them with the optional knox armour pads but never used them as i couldn't get them to sit right.
Got rid of them in the end because they seemed massive on me, even tried eating more pies but the cut just wasn't right.

Used mine in anger today. Slight problem as back_marker in that the knee pads seem to slide over and not sit proprly on your knee but I'm guessing thats to do with the loose fit as opposed to leathers.

Speaking as a female........ I would think you could adjust the shape of the pocket with a few stitches so the pads sit where they need to be for you.

Which meets are you attending with your sewing kit?
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I'll be at the Marches meet and quite willing to tell anyone what to do!
