RST

Bought myself some new gear after my off in May.
Instead of the IXS stuff I crashed in I decided to get some RST kit. Textile jacket and Leather pants from their Rift range.
It's bloody good stuff for the money. The jacket has a zip out liner, which means it's reasonably warm when the chills set in, or cool(ish) on the rare occasions when the sun comes out, properly adjustable cuffs and waist, a full length zip to attach to the pants, and comes with Knox armour pre-fitted. It's waterproof too as I found when it bumped it down 50 miles from home. The outer pockets leak though which would have been a problem if I'd had anything in them. The pants feel well made from quality leather which appears to be a good thickness. They took a day or two to break in properly but are now very comfortable all day long. They come with Kneesliders, two zip pockets (which you can get loose change in but sod all else), and the short leg fit my stumpy little legs properly.
We'll see if it lasts as well as the IXS stuff - though I hope not to crash test it - but it certainly feels excellent value for money.
The jacket and trousers were £260 for both from J&S.
Just need some new summer gloves now to replace the (awful) A* I've currently got. Glad I didn't have these on when I went for a slide. I'd have had no hands left.
So (so far) I can highly recommend RST Rift for quality and value.
