Debz' latest BikeTek controller is playing up already, so I've changed my order to a Klan heated jacket. If replacement controller no. 5 dies she'll swap it for a Gerbing jacket.

Shame, as the Biketek jacket is really good, only the controllers let it down. They don't seem to like being outside in the cold and damp, pretty useless for the conditions they'll be used in.

I've sent an e-mail to BikeTek telling them of the issues she's been having over the last year, but have received no reply as yet. Champion Moto (who the jacket came from) on the other hand, have repeatedly bent over backwards to help us out, I can't recommend them enough!

i've got heated grips and rate them a lot. as long as their is some warmth then warm winter gloves help to keep the rest of my hands warm... its when your hands get totally cold and cross the point of no return, then no matter how good your gloves are - there is no blood in your hands generating any warmth..

now though I've decided I need heated boots (or insoles).

I also don't fancy the idea of wires attaching me to the bike (I know what Im like, they wouldnt last a day without me ripping them apart walking away still attached.

just found these, which seem to be standalone insoles (as opposed to part of a heated gear package) with their own battery packs..

sound like they might be ideal for keeping my toes alive!
