LIDL Bike stuff again

I've also bought the flip up helmet and have used it every day over the last couple of weeks. HowardQ has made a number of point already that I can endorse. I am apreciating the convenience of being able to flip up the chin piece to see where my bits and pieces are located etc. All in all it seems very good value which is more than can be said for replacement Scuberth and Shoie visors at £80 and £60 respectively.
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

My only concern over cheap supermarket helmets was from a few years ago when I saw a customer knock one off the pile in Aldi and casually pick it up and replace it on the pile.
No issue with the helmet itself just the lack of understanding of the customers (and, presumably staff) in these non-specialist stores. I dare say the same could happen in a bike kit store but I just feel a bit less confident.
I did notice this year that most were boxed up nicely rather than being out of their boxes and vulnerable - so maybe my concerns are a bit overstated.

Well I am convinced that the bike tool sets are the same as the Oxford ones same pouch same colour same tools same layout different price also they are selling off loads of random stuff like gel kneepads for 99p. So John no more carpet burns :)
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

The only thing that bothers me about the cheaper flip up lids is the holding it shut latch. I dropped an Airoh one and the front flew open in a really non confidence inspiring way. I think latches are part of the Sharp test.

I think it more likely to be a re-badged lid - caberg or otherwise.
