winter gloves ?

#1 Post by fatboy » Sun Jan 15, 2012 7:55 pm

would be intersted to hear any reccomends ? Last time I looked at amazon they were doing some cheap Buffalos, but mixed opinions from mates. Currently have a pair of weird Held things, warm dry but would not want to polish the tarmac wearing them !

I've got some Alpinestars as winter motorcycle gloves. I think they were one of the Jet Road ones but they're 3 or 4 years old now and nothing in the range looks exactly the same. I paid about 80 quid for them and they're pretty warm, have never leaked and haven't fallen apart yet.

The dealer promised me they were the warmest he had once I'd discounted all the skiing glove looking stuff that looked like it would shred.

My commute is only 7 miles each way, I don't have a fairing or handguards and my hands are warm enough unless it gets into serious minus numbers.
On the downside, they're quite bulky and too warm if it gets into double figures.
Where ever I lay my hat.....

Winter gloves? I'm still in my summer gloves! although i only commute for about 5 miles to and from the gym.

heated grips help, I am also going to make some hand guards to deflect most of the wind chill. Havn't got round to that yet though.
