Yes the bar is open ..... my eldest lad, Daniel, passed his Part 2 test today. :smt004

I'll be having to remove his L-plates in a moment :smt003

The Falco is still safe as he decided not to do DAS and is restricted to 33bhp for a couple of years ..... though I guess that riders of the puny black ones may need to hide their keys ....

Splendid news! Please pass my congratulations to Daniel.

I'll leave my shot of grappa behind the bar for now - about to have a bit of a shopping ride

so pleased for him

and 33 bhp means he can have the scooter - and still be faster than the rust brown falcos....

Congratulations!

Do scooters have charging circuits nowadays like brown Faclos or do they use the total loss system like Dave's black one?

Yeah - drink what you like - he's paying (but if you know my son, despite me currently believing i'm not paying, it'll be sure to cost me in the end)

Well done Dan!

So we have time to educate him into a real, Japanes motorcycle!

He currently has a CB125s (made in 1975) ..... however his next wheels will be a bit of a deviation - but never look a gift-horse in the gob .....
A chap at work can't get insurance any longer due to having had a heart attack and has offered to give Daniel his Suzuki Bergman 400.
Although it might not be a natural choice for either of us, a maxi scooter for free (or a bit of a "thankyou" gift) would be silly to turn his nose at .... and once it's done its stuff, he can trade it in for whatever.

One of our bike club members has a big scooter - no-one thinks less of him for that!

Those Bergerman things actually have a fair old fan club, they are so easy to ride and can manage a bit of acceleration.
Well done that lad on pt 2, large pint of wife beater please
( and when he's bored of the scooter on steriods Im sure it'll sell no probs )
