It seems the bar requires opening

#1 Post by D-Rider » Wed May 09, 2012 10:52 am

In keeping with current practice, I'd better open a tab at the bar.

Yesterday I got the road fund licence reminder - so I taxed it.
In celebration I gave it a clean after many months .... so it now looks a lot better than when Jay saw it a couple of days ago.

The road fund reminder is also a clue that the MOT is due so I rang up and got it booked in for this morning - as always it sailed through.

For a moment I did wonder whether our friendly MOT tester had been got at as he was quizzing an R1 rider about the standard-ness of his pipe (GP stylee but about the same noise level as mine - so not very noisy). There was never any real question about it getting through .... especially as we discussed it and both had a reasonable degree of certainty that Yamaha must have supplied them like that. :smt002
TBH there was never any doubt about it at all and it wasn't loud - I think he was just trying to wind the rider up a bit.

Time came for mine and he couldn't help his enthusiasm about what a beautiful looking bike it is and that somehow the Italians always make such lovely bikes.
Then he started it and couldn't get over the sound of it at tick over.

Anyway, that's it MOT'd for the next (almost) 13 months - so the bar is opened.

JD already on the counter for Sam and a big glass of red for BG - I'll leave the bottles out so you can help yourself to refills.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Nice one, Andy; but wouldn't have expected less from you.

As everyone else seems to have gone into interstellar overdrive, I'll fire up the orgone accumulator with a bottle of tequila, and wait for the sunrise with you all

Set the controls for the heart of the sun ..... and I'll join you all in the bar once I've got the last of the bathroom floor stuck down

Edit: 1:05 am. Bathroom floor stuck down. Cleared up (sort of). Dishwasher loaded ..... aaahhhh can sit down at last.
Think I'll have a nice drink of ..... water! I'm parched.

Last time I drank tequila I had a strange experience and was sure I gathered in a cave with several species of small fury animals - grooving with a pict.
