#1 Post by Dalemac » Mon Mar 02, 2009 12:47 am

Hi! im Dale from Coventry, UK. Know D-Rider from a local site. currently in lincoln studying computer science and have been riding for well over 2 years now. I have joined here because when my restriction ends i have decided i want to get in on the v-twin noisyness. more specifically the falco because D-Rider and a few others speak highly of them and they are a good lookin bike!

Anyone for a drink while im at the bar?

:smt006 Sun's well over the mast arm here (well its past noon) so I'll have a Gunness please mate.

I'm officially a bit disturbed, however. My name's also Dale and my second name starts Mac. So I'm likely to get a bit confused. :smt017

Yea the gpz isnt bad. when it works. currently overheating at idle, despite it spending a month in my garage having a rather large rebuit 1000 miles ago. (headgasket, piston rings, head + barrells skimmed, barrells deglased, valves relapped etc) bloody kawasaki's!

welcome as well :)

make sure you get a fast coloured falco

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

the bar is always open!

Saw barry last week when he came up to lincoln with weed and alex. it was then that i sat on his falco, blipped the throttle and fell in love with the thing!

as far as i know he is ok. probably out enjoying the falco!

Don't ask him - he's under the misguided belief that it's the black ones.

TBH don't worry too much which colour you go for .... although not the yellow ones - obviously.

This link shows the various colours but be aware that the ones shown as 2002 models were USA / Australia colours Though we know a few of the "Hot Red / Diablo Black" ones made it here.
http://www.twowheelparts.nl/home/defaul ... 00&lang=nl

Don't set your heart on the "Oasis Green" ones either .... they made literally a handful of them which were shown at the UK show a few years back .... and then they decided not to make them in that colour.
Hornetrider on here has one and I saw one at Mallory a few years back ... so I may well have seen half of all those ever made .... and they are really nice .....

I'll stop rambling if you buy me another drink .... more 6X please

almost agree with what greybeard said, but - the black ones have the better snorkels :)

and the falcos are wonderful bikes :)

He's right - they're the ones you want to use underwater.

You're clearly a chap with excellent taste. I think the official Aprilia definition of the coolest colourscheme is Flamingo Red and Anthracite.

But Red/Black and grey is fine by me. Can't tell you if they're the fastest yet (still running in), but as it looks like it's doing 50mph stood still, I reckon it should be...

Oh yes - large glass of Syrah red, please (that'll be Shiraz if you're from Oz/US)...
