Another new falco owner

Er, hello. Does anyone wanna drink?

I've recently bought a 2000 falco and even more recently managed to ride it now that the snow and ice have thawed. This seems to be where the falco types hang out - you certainly see more here than you do on the road lately - so thought I'd pop in.

Now. How do I arrange a bar tab around here?

Cheers
Andy

Welcome on board Andy and especially welcome to the bar. :smt003
I'll have a large Jack please.

Is that one of the fast colour bikes or one of the slower ones?

Welcome to the site Andy :smt006 :smt006
Very pleased to have you join us.
You may not see many Falcos on the road, but you are the third new member from this general area this week, other two from "Notts" and "Lincoln".
I am out around the Ollerton, Newark, Gainsborough, Willingham areas most weekends on a Black 2001 Falco, so will look out for you if you ever stray into these areas.
What colour is your Falco by the way?
Is it still standard?
It's always a good start, so we can help you to spend your money and make a great bike even better! :smt004

Looks like this round could get pricy. Oh well its nearly the weekend...

I'll try and get some pics up soon but its a black model with blue bits (I was advised that they are the fastest). Its not quite standard but I'm not sure how tuned it is yet. Its wearing carbon vincis and it sounds glorious. I took it for the first serious ride in the mild weather last weekend and it pretty much eclipsed anything else I've ridden. I need to check the black box to see if there is anything non-standard in there. Also I'm assuming its not restricted but I better check - what am I looking for, something in the airbox?

Anyway I'll be out and about most dry weekends I usually head towards the peaks but if there is a gathering I'll be up for it.

Cheers all

Andy

Yeah - the black ones are a little faster to compensate for the skills deficit of those that choose them - a sort of a handicap system ....

Derestriction comprises removing a bung in the airbox beneath the air filter and snipping a wire on the ECU.
Ken's site gives a good guide: http://www.geocities.com/sl_mille/index ... 816?200927

Ah thats why i couldn't keep the front wheel down - a skills deficit. Is there a cure?

No, it's genetic - an easily recognised symptom is over-obsessiveness with the colour black.
