It's a 'Cherry' B for me!!!!

#1 Post by Olig7475 » Sat Feb 21, 2009 9:49 pm

Hi all, just wanted to share the fact that I've popped my CHEERY.......it's been 3 months since I passed my test and I took the plunge and bought a bike...not just any bike, the mother of all Italian metal...a Falco!

It's been a crazy 24hrs, I read the artical in RIDE about the Falco on Friday morning, come Friday afternoon I was the owner of a shinny black 2001 model. For the priestley sum of £2k I got a one owner from new, pretty stock, FASH, 25k mile version of the Italian dream, unfortunalty I don't get to pick it up until next week (bloody work) as you can imagen I'm in purgatory right now :smt089 . Scince my purchase I've been scanning the internet and swotting up on the forums, I can't wait to start modding and spending....... alot by the sound of things!!!!!!

Great forum guys, I have a feeling I'm going to need every thread over the coming months, I'm no mechanic and have no knowledge of the Falco, but after speding a few hours on these forums, I know I'm in safe hands.

Cheers
oli

Hi and welcome.

Enjoy your Falco - but as Joe says, just ease yourself in to getting used to it. They don't bite unless you provoke them .... but they can be provoked.

You'll have plenty of fun - hope to see you around.

welcome, and be very glad you got the faster colour :)

Spitfire for me please and whats your credit rating like?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Welcome aboard Oli.

Go easy next week. That's a lot of bike for a new'un and the roads are still cold and damp.

2 pints of Abbott please.
