#1 Post by snapdragon » Mon Jul 02, 2007 5:02 pm

my neighbour <bless him> has just erected this

Image

on the low wall between our backyards (the wall's on his prop so tis his dessizsch)

I rather fancy leaving the horizontals but adding sky, grass and sheep peering through - what do you think?
all suggestions welcome :smt003

I'd add some petrol and a match... :smt003

Did he even say anything before doing this?

Nope - but at least I can go into my yard without feeling like an intruder in my own place when he's barbecueing or partying

What a peculiar construction. :smt017
I shouldnt waste too much time decorating it. First good wind and it should take the wall with it. :smt002

lol two previous fences have disappeared in the years we've been here Sam - I can't understand why he didnt put it on top, but the wall is concrete and tough as old boots - I might nail a trellis to it and grow some climbing plants, but I do fancy the idea of Sean the sheeps looking through the rails :smt003

Your neighbour's got his erection up back to front. The rails on your side signify it's your fence (I think).

Our neighbours have put up one much the same .... but they put it against a big hedge that's been there for ages - so we don't really see it .... doesn't look like an option for you.

D-Rider is right. If you put up a fence, the 'Good' side (without the rails) must face the neighbours property - so if you fancy a bit of fun, insist he takes it down and puts it up the right way round :smt003
The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.

nod nod - but the boy don't know that - I think his mum told him to do it (since his GF left, his mum has been round to conduct all household 'events' ) :smt009

:smt005 then I get to paint the other side :smt003

If the wall is on his property he can put it up either way, when I asked about this I was told it's only if it's on the actual boundary you have to put the 'good side' towards your neighbour (long time ago so I bow to Sam's superior knowledge tho).

Sheep and bushes and green grass and sky and fluffy clouds - go for it! Sheep are just fluffy clouds with heads and legs....
