Hey all,
It's been deathly silent here in Sam's bar for I can't recall how long...
So. The card's behind the bar, the jukebox is blasting Motorhead, and the pool table is open.
What are you waiting for?

Yeah you'll probably need to clean the tumbleweed off the pool table, but I'll have a large glass of something red and alcoholic.

Life is a whole lot quieter... don't go anywhere, don't see anyone. Had a couple of decent rides out to Matlock over the Cat & Fiddle in the last couple of weeks with my lad on the back, he's currently saving for his own bike when he turns 16 (he's nearly 13...)

I blame Facebook. A number of the old stalwarts are fairly active on FB, but don't seem to pop in here any more. Plus we lost Fatboy to cancer earlier in the year, and he was a regular poster on here.

I beg your forgiveness. I have not frequented the Bar of Sam for too long. I'm here now so I'll have a pint of Wainwright please.
Also... I've been out on the Falco today and I cant believe I entertained thoughts of selling it last year......Sorry!

Well, after 12months I've had to say goodbye to the Falco and to riding. It's a sad day, but thanks for all the help and advice on here. Stay safe folks, keep it shiny side up!

Very sorry to hear that, zoidberg. I'll drink to a life of biking enjoyed. Is there no way you can find something that allows you to continue?

I'm afraid not. I can't find anything comfortable enough for more than about 20 miles. I've had some great times on bikes and met some fantastic people.
It's also not the same as it used to be, too much traffic and too many potholes.
I'll probably end up with another bike at some point in the future even if it's a something to tinker with. The garage is looking awfully empty
