I had a really nice day on the 25th,maybe I shouldn't call it Christmas as I'm not a believer of the scripted story and hate the way it is so sodding commercial, as Katie1 points out, its winter solstice, the days are now getting longer
Loads of us sat outside and ate really nice dinners, what we wanted to eat rather than the expected roast vulture.
I got the best prezzie ever, Guy Martin, my autobiography, by eck chief, crackin read !
Hope you will join me for a swift one in Sam's, back to work in the morning

So did we and it continued today as well, we went to my aged aunts (88 and going strong). Tomorrow is a day of rest, a nice long walk and hopefully looking into getting a weimaraner in the next couple of weeks or so.
I must admit i hate the blatant commercialisation of Christmas and we don't do sales either.

Not a believer in any religious festival, so would be hypocritical of me to partake.. So, I don't. I get called all sorts of things.. Usually a miserable old git, however, I'm quick to point out that I'm rarely called that when spoiling people on their birthdays.. But hey-ho.

I'm not a believer either, but it's a time of year when pretty much everyone is a bit more happy and a bit more tolerant and a bit more kind, so whether or not you believe is immaterial, just have a nice time and be aware of what you have both materially and socially.
If everyone could be a bit more like they are at Christmas the world would be a much nicer place to live.
Have a good new year everyone.

I love Xmas!
Ok, we're both non-religious and we don't do cards or presents or decorations but it's a lovely time of year ;)
I like that people take the time to wish others well and typically look forward to seeing friends and family (although we go all hermit-like for the holiday!) rather than viewing it as a chore.
So, yup a time to savour and look forward to the year ahead and a spring that brings light, life and hope for the future
