Hello again all.
It's been about 5 years since I sold my lovely (and now dead) Falco to Rick. I have had some back probs and thought I would be bikeless for good. However, I bought a VFR800 vtec on a whim and have got the biking bug back. Long story short, VFR is as exciting as porridge, so sometime in the next 7-10 days I'll be taking delivery of an '05 Falco :smt041
Questions will follow.... :smt002
*VFR is on Ebay if anyone want's to be bored to death* :smt019 [/img][/img]

Nice one, AJFalco... :smt023

I have this theory that the latest VFRs are the worst, and have had all the character gradually drained out of them over a period of model revisions. The VTECs weren't a 'real' VFR in my view, anyway as they lost the gear-driven cams. I still have a first of the line (1988) VFR that is good fun, but can't match the Falco for attitude and big grins.

Welcome back... :smt003

I too had a hiatous from Aprilia, but the lure of that wonderful engine was too powerful to resist. The Falco went about three years ago, but last year I bought Martdudes Futura.. Never looked back. Such a wonderful thing!

I'd say have fun, but I know you will. :smt002

Hi again all.
Well after deposits and promises etc, the Falco just didn't happen :smt013 I did have a bit of luck this week though. While trolling through Facebook I came across a group calling themselves; Buy and sell motorbikes in portsmouth/hayling island within a 20 miles. On having a look, there's a guy selling a '09 Tuono for 4K. One quick message later and we're swapping bikes :smt003
He get's the VFR so the wife can go on the back, and I get the Tuono so I can enjoy riding again :smt038
Happy days! (I'd post a pic, but I can't remember how to do it... :smt017

Well BG, I've often asked myself what the hell would/could replace the falco ?
The answer I now sit comfortably with is......
Tuono or Tuono v4.
Not an RSV or Futfut but a naked mad bastard Tuono !
Ticks so many boxes for me

What he said but then followed by the pipe and slipper chariot then maybe a big feck off customised low rider trike for continental touring .... Plus I probably could benefit from the stabilisers

Nice first ride on Sunday :smt003 Is a bit strange at first not having a fairing (last bike I rode without one was a DT175 about 25 years ago) It's really comfortable on my back which is very important and, even with Sachs shock on the rear, she doesn't kick me up the ass on bumps. Guess they got it right eventually... She does feel reluctant to turn in on slow corners, could this be down to the steering damper set up?
All in all, a perfect alternative to the Falco, if a bit draughty :smt005
