And I will have to wait a while longer, until a new second hand tip switch arrives as the dash display reverts to EFI after a few seconds of running.
About as annoying as having a lost rear brake actuator rod !

Isn't there any way of spoofing the tip switch to make it think it's permanently connected (when it's not)?

You can't spoof a rear brake actuator rod, though thanks to the mighty Griff that lack has been resolved. :smt023

I chopped the wiring and replaced the switch with a resistor but it didn't work, I bought another resistor to re mod the mod, didn't work !
whether this is down to my 'special ' wiring loom or the resistor thing being a myth....
