Well will, in a selfish sort of way I am glad someone else has had a bad day.
No not really. I will have a gallon of whiskey please. :smt003

Feckin things. Bought it from a chap over in Shropshire who couldn't get it running. Looking over it, there didn't seem to be anything untoward.. After all, it's a two-banger, so what is there to go wrong!?!. After doing a compression test it was clear something was afoot.. Took the lid off to be greeted by internals that looked like they'd spent the best part of their lives at the bottom of the Severn.. :smt005

Another engine is on it's way to me (finally), so it'll be up and running before long. All this hassle for a bit of fun next year.. Hope it's worth it! :smt003

Looking at the REG number Will, I would say that came from the same dealer as my oasis. :smt017

Last time I saw a piston like that the kid had kicked it over without the barrel on. Why he thought this was a good idea I don't know. Mind you this is the same youth we took to the main dealer to buy a new power band.

Hahaha.. The aged old bullshit that someone who professes they "know about bikes" says..lol. When challenged, they all of a sudden remember seeing one.. Interesting descriptions..lol. It's fun to watch. Doesn't happen as often as it used to mind.. Shame. :smt003 :smt003

Replacement engine has been installed after fitting new piston (precaution rather than necessity). Fired up last night. Very quiet! The drive belt looks like a newun.. Either that, or this unit hasn't done many miles at all. Will finish putting back together tomorrow and that'll be another one done. :smt003
