Thankyou.

It's been a year yesterday since Sam passed away.

I used to look to the time he went with trepidation, worry and sheer panic at times. a daunting thing that was fast looming, my mentor, hero, my dad was on his way out. it was written and was gonna happen early no matter what we did.

I still rue the fact I couldnt get hold of Jorge in my dad's last few months.. many a drink they shared, many a disagreement but equally they had plenty in common. (Both as stubborn and as passionate about stuff as each other..)

It seems Sam did well with his teachings as i've survived a whole year quite effortlessly. I've surprised myself at how many situations his words have rung thru true.

So, Thanks firstly, Dad.. Sam.. Phil.. Me old mate.

Also Thankyou to you guys, i've found a lot to smile about over the year thru the site and the people therein. It's like a second home. somewhere to immerse and forget shizzle.

So secondly, Thankyou to you lot!

Bar is open, drinks on the house.

Limoncello for me.. with a JD chaser...

Yep - we miss him too Tim - though I know the fact he was your Dad makes the loss much greater.

Good to see he lives on in the character of Ridersite and in those instances when you (and we) have one of those moments when we remember something Sam said or did - and we smile.

I'll be more than happy to raise a glass to him.

How can we forget him, we named the bar after him.
I never met him, but it always seemed like I had.
Here's to you and your dad Tim.
He will always be in here.
Cheers!

Glad you're finding solace here. Never met Sam, but as others have said he was a big part of here, and will remain so.

Another JD in this direction

He's one person I'll never forget, all the laughs the drink the arguments. His one and only track day when he took my place at Snett, I'll have to try and get there one day.
So I'll have a large red wine in memory :smt001
