Drought over
The employment drought, that is.
Starting my new job on Monday morning; was invited to apply, which was quite gratifying.
It's a lovely 27-mile-each-way commute, on country A-roads, so another bike may be on the agenda (don't want to put the miles on the Futura, although I'm sure it would cope); contemplating, at the moment, a TDM or Versys
After nearly a year of fruitless job-hunting, and rapidly approaching 60, I'd come close to giving up hope of working again.
So, ladies and gents, the bar's open, there's plenty of ice in the fridge, drinks are on me, and the landlord says we can have a lock-in. I'm kicking off with a large, very cold, gin & tonic.

Really great news Mart - so much so that I'll not even take the piss at your WEE job
..... and maybe you are right about the job drought - my middle son started his job today having been unemployed for about a year - he ended up being offered 2 jobs last week!
