Bar Open - Falco Running Again

#1 Post by D-Rider » Sun Apr 28, 2013 2:36 pm

Yep - having not had chance to look at my Falco for a few weeks since it refused to start I decided to sort it out today.

I gave it a stern talking to which did the trick.
It started first time.

TBH I think it had flooded badly when it wouldn't start and even the special 100% guaranteed starting trick wouldn't work.
Obviously dried out now and good to go.
Glad it was that simple.

Even went on to stick the baffle back in ..... which I took out for a day in the autumn and never re-fitted .... thought I'd better put it back though it does behave better with it out (drives much better at low revs out of corners).
Might change my mind and take it out again if it seems to be a PITA compared to how it has been with the baffle out.

Anyway, Bar Open

i will have a large pint of ale... actually, make it many

mine started as well, but i reckon your credit will last in the bar :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Yay! At least the Falcos only do niggly electric stuff.
The weld holding the sidestand bracket on my kwak broke today.
Quite an engineering achievement, building a motorcycle out of cheese.

Rain free rides to and from work today ..... the journey restored something that has been missing lately on my commute - an incredibly huge grin.

My these Falcos are fun. :smt003

At least the stand bracket was made of something similar to Cheddar, the casing screws are made of Camenbert

Good news chaps - although it obviously took none of your planet like store of Aprilia knowledge to get them going again.

Cheers
