Hello

#1 Post by Demonbaker » Tue Jan 22, 2013 2:23 pm

Although i registered a while back after being invited by Bikergran i haven't managed to start posting due to commitments at work etc. So here goes, I'm Richard and ride a Bmw 1200 Gs and no I'm not the type who only goes as far as Tesco with a full set of panniers and Bmw clothing (Twat suits).

I've been riding bikes most of my life starting with schoolboy scrambling (as it was called then) and then motocross through my late twenty's and early thirties. I only started riding on the road about 11 years ago and now on my second Gs.

Apart from Bikergran i also know Snapdragon and Shebee.

Hi and welcome Richard. If you can survive knowing Bobbi, fitting in here will be a breeze :smt003

There are a few others on here who have or have had BMWs of varying vintage - maybe we'll cure them one day - so you won't be alone.

Anyway, welcome - please join in the fun. :smt006

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

so we have managed to get from a shit box to a doughnut - sam would be so proud....

(And those who have not met up at a meet - try and make the effort - alcohol is not required - randomsquid managed to lose his hat while being totally sober - and the shit box was an early afternoon experience....)

reminds me - Bungay again this year?

Mid year meet might be reachable for you fella.
When i ride to dorset it is 200 miles+ for me. Well worth it :smt002
I have ridden from cowden beath just above edinburgh in four and a half hours back to home.
Not sure how long it would take you to get to edinburgh?
This is a rough guide for you.
Something to think about.
And there should be plenty of people around to help you set up your tent. Just a thought :smt002
