I'll drink to anything! Specially when it's virtual booze, it doesn't upset my innards!

Gio - you should try this thing I've discovered called "Google".
Funny little name but great for finding out things you don't know.

So it's like an analytical engine for searching for things?
Fantastic idea! Should get something like it for the forum.

Damned good idea that :smt003

If we had such a thing, you could try it yourself - maybe you could search for "Where is my hat?"

That's very sad Pete, if you are getting everything right you must either be spending too much or you have found a way to do the right things for less money.
Either way you get your budget cut or close down!

SIMPLES

Only joking (I think!), so I'll be pleased to have a drink with you.
Will just have a J&B at this time I reckon, keep up the good work.

and yes - draft report arrived back today

fully compliant, with no actions, recommendations

CQC are the regulatory body responsible for care in the UK - they inspect hospitals, dental surgeries etc - and care homes

they have a lot of powers - they can close an organisation.... literally immediatly

as a manager, you are only as good as your last report - and this report makes me a very happy chap - it comes just as I am about to open negotiations on extending my current contract where I am, and also as I have a rather interesting offer from a recruitment agency who have made an approach .... I have some interesting challenges coming up where I am - I have been asked to tender to set up an NHS hospice within the home (In over 20 years of nursing I have never heard of a similar opportunity!)

All being well, I may have to open the bar again soon :)

That's great news Pete!
The NHS hospice news sounds even better, you must be over the moon.
It's really nice to hear some good news for a change, congratulations.
I'll have a J&B please.

Got some good news on our side this week.
Terri works for the local Passenger Transport Authority, who like all similar Local Authority bodies have massive budget problems and will be getting rid of many staff just after Christmas.
It is not fully official yet, but it does seem that the bosses have accepted that there will be no cuts in her area, so looking better.
Have another drink on me!

I wonder how they will get on with the renamed organization here (its NHS still) but from Monday its renamed Virgin Care (thinks of that prat Richard with his angst attitude) :smt005 :smt005
