Yeah - all the best Dale ...... and over Christmas I finally understood the title of this thread ..... thanks to a certain film being broadcast (having never read the book or got into any of the earlier series broadcasts)

Well the improbability drive functioned flawlessly (almost) and I'm now in Melbourne and it's damn hot. Was at a mate's for a barbie yesterday avo :smt002 it was somewhere near 40 C and lager just doesn't cool you down enough unless you drink buckets of it apparently.

Looking forward to meeting up with Viking, he's already invited me out to meet the Aprilia boys on Thursday night, top man (I'll call you Viking). A mate in Sydney has meet arranged for the end of Feb in the mountains between the two of us, but I don't think the Falco will have arrived by then (bugger), might be able to swing a second bike past the management to make the trip :smt011.

So off to my new job tomorrow (gulp) best go and try to find a suit and iron a shirt and dig out a tie. Bet I arrive and everyone else is wearing shorts and vests.

G'day sports

:smt001 Glad to hear it's all going to plan.

Do you need us to write upside down, or is everything ok 'down there' ?

I hoped the move might save us from that picture of Dale's arse .... but expected, at very least, to see that it was the other way up .... guess it's now supposed to be him standing on his head down there.

Envy you Dale - I liked Melbourne when I spent a week over there with work - preferred it to Sydney I think.

I have to say that Dale is getting a bit of a rough introduction to our weather. I think the coolest it's been since he arrived was in the low 20's Celsius.

It hit 40C yesterday, stayed at about 30C overnight and is now down to 22C after reaching 36C. You have to love these cool changes that drop the temperature by 15C in as many minutes.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

I was beginning to wonder where Dale had got to, but he made it there in the end.

His first words were along the lines of "Fook me, it's hot!" :smt005 :smt005

And I bloody was hot after walking about a mile and a half. I thought the trams had stopped running 'coz I misread the timetable info for the holiday period.

Good to meet you and the other Aprilia boys, looking forward to getting the chance for a ride later in the year.
