This sucks, but at least things are now clearer.
Sorry to hear it Dale - but if it's that clear I guess in the longer term it's probably for the best.

Cheers for the support guys.
It's very painful right now. We have a lot of stuff to sort out like the house, we will both be staying here until it is all sorted, whether that is selling up and moving or one of us taking the ownership and mortgage and buying the other out.
Cant really get the ball rolling until we have spoken to the bank about the possibilities.
Right now I just feel lost, I don't know what to do with myself.

Sorry it didn't work out.
Please don't do anything in a hurry just because you feel you need to do something.
I know how lost you feel mate, I also know you won't be stumbling in the wilderness forever.
Nothing can be said that can take away the immediate pain but the pain does lessen slowly.
Take care mate

The bar down the garage is always open. I appreciate it's a fair trek back to Coventry, but you're always welcome round our gaff, pal.
Keep those chins up.. Everything that happens now will have a knock on effect for the future. No matter how small it may seem. Give it time for the dust to settle, pick yourself up, and move on. Life goes on.. Make the most of it.

Well, things are looking up a little!
I have found a nice 2 bed modern coach house that i like and eventually we came to an agreement on price! It needs new carpets and a lick of paint but nothing too drastic.
Already with the same mortgage broker as last time who are handling the mortgage stuff for us (albeit seperately), so hopefully this can be done pretty quickly like last time!
It is a modern coach house on a pretty new estate, there are 4 garages, the biggest being mine then i essentially have the upper level. I would 'own' the entire building (completely detached) freehold and the other 3 garages are leased to neighbouring properties, apparently a pretty common thing nowadays but when we get to solicitor stage i'm sure they will make me aware of any potential issues.
Anyway, virtual champagne all round I think!

If it all goes through send me your addy and I'll return you a bottle of champagne.
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"
