Really sorry to hear your sad news Andy, please accept my condolences.
I lost both my parents very quickly more than 30 years ago and it takes some time to come to terms with it.
Just remember all the good times you had, for months after my parents died, I spent time looking through all the old photgraphs, it helped me.
A glass is raised to your dad.

Thanks again everyone

...and Pete, please note that in the line I come from, it's an "O" not an "A"
(and when dad passed away at the age of 85, he'd still not turned grey)

Found another pic of Dad on his BSA with Mum on the back ...... protective clothing wasn't quite such a priority back then ......

Aw, all the best. Sorry for your loss. My old man died a good few months after having a stroke, was a very difficult time for us all. He had 32 motorbikes in total and was always in a boilersuit and smelled of oil with a jauntily placed flat cap on. He was almost a Southern Fred Dibnah..

Thanks again everyone.

I've been pretty busy of late organising the funeral.
That's scheduled for Wednesday (the only day it could be fitted in before I have to go to Spain for work).
Happens to be the birthday of my 2 eldest sons - one will be 26 the other 24 on that day.
