Got back in about 7pm .... nice ride over to near Rutland Water - dropped in on Cheesy (Club Aprilia / RSVZone etc) and picked up a few Aprilia bits I was buying off him.
If anyone is after some mesh guards for the rads and oil cooler he has some he's trying to get rid of.
Lovely ride (except round Leicester). Many good interesting roads - including single tracks with cattle grids - over the top of hills into idylic valleys with sheep roaming across the roads and old country homes set in the middle of them (the valleys - not the roads) - a trip back in time. Then towards my destination, over another ridge and the valley containing Rutland Water was there spread in front of me .... had gone out without many expectations and arrived truly uplifted.
Bit of a race home ... I was late and the Mrs wasn't impressed as I hadn't said I was going to be out when she got back from shopping (as I didn't actually know I would) ...
Had a bottle of pear cider with my tea when I got home.
