Hi y'all, I'm Mark in Birmingham AL.
50 years (so short!) riding motorbikes, bummed at the cold temperatures this time of year, excited for my next bike.
I'm new to the 1250 GSA, I'll pick it up in the spring around the corner. Spring IS around the corner, I'm told. Picking it up along with some riding classes at RawHyde Adventures, March-ish. Goal is to avoid all snow betwixt his place and mine, on the ride home.
Meanwhile, my ST1300 runs great, just not so great off-road.
I'll be looking for dual-sport types in my neck of the woods, but till then we'll just be playing on the streets.
Where are you, anyway...?

Welcome, I'm not sure you'll get many replies from 1250GSA owners around here but if you mention the word Aprilia, folks come running!

Re: New here, but not really new
There are some USA members on here, but it's predominantly UK and Aus-based (when they can be bothered to login, anyway...) I'd have thought that Alabama has warmer winter temps than we do in the UK (there's snow on the ground here in Sheffield), so your spring should arrive a bit sooner than ours...

Not too many other Aussies here, I don't think...
Welcome, Sadisor. Must be your round at the bar, too.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
