Rallies, Partys and Festivals

#1 Post by Willopotomas » Sun Mar 09, 2014 5:12 pm

What're my fellow metalheads movements this year? Would be good to meet up for an ale or six if our paths are to cross. My calendar consists (so far) of;

Elbow. 21st April at the NEC

Annual Jersey weekender - Mayday Bank Holiday weekend.

LeManns 24hr 12th - 16th June

Sonisphere Festival 4th-6th July (going on the 3rd)

Upton Festival - August bank holiday weekend.

Plus a few others yet to be confirmed..

Upton Festival - which Upton is that? (there are lots, all over the country!)

Good grief! Showaddywaddy AND Timmy Mallet! Not sure I could cope!

TBH I prefer to go to bike rallies - I can only listen to one band at a time and a rally will cost from £15 - 25 for a weekend, I reckon that festival#sa pricey considering a lot of the bands are tribute acts.

Timmy Mallet once hit me on the head with his Pinky Punky

For several years when the kids were little we took them to Butlins in February half term. Timmy Mallet was performing one year and my eldest Daniel (who some of you met at last year's Festival of 1000 bikes) insisted we queue up to meet Mr Mallet.
That's when I was hit with his Pinky Punky ....

I too prefer a good rally, BG. However, they're not the best places to take small children.
