I think the new phpBB has the Text/Number box where you have to repeat the shown code. This prevents the Bots? Im sure TS uses that. This version of RS uses it too. But the bots have solved that one. Dont know. It's easy enough to ban the usernames that are common spams, just by using the disallow username facility. Both spock and I fell for that one too. But generally it doesn't work.
