We have now moved to the new forum

 Hehehe.. I had mused over a couple of things. 1. How deep down a server do the bots search? can a forum be hidden behind 2 depths of indexes or something? I'll try and think of a way to explain what I mean.. I suspect the answer will be 'no' :laff: 2. Is there a way that the new wa...

I think the new phpBB has the Text/Number box where you have to repeat the shown code. This prevents the Bots? Im sure TS uses that. I thought about the name banning thing as I typed, yep, agree totally. I think the only way to 'get' them is by the IP, although whether they are actually using a russ...

Dont know. It's easy enough to ban the usernames that are common spams, just by using the disallow username facility. Ive made inroads into the spam deletion. I'll keep having a pop at 'em and hopefully we can whittle it down to manageable daily doses. Im sure Hammy will pull a solution out before t...

Ive now been given admin access in order to delete spam. Ive banned *@bk.ru as well as a few more email addresses, deleted about 50 - 60 Spam accounts and am slowly working my way through the memberlist in between cups of coffee. Ive emailed Spoony to ask what problem he is having with his account c...

If you feel that strongly about it I can set up torquesite as a ban word in RS. And do the same for any other site you feel is in competition with RS. It's not about censoring anything, is it! It's about spoamming the forum in a deliberate manner. The admins on RS have been doing what the members h...

Spockmeister, you know as well as I do that by using the Private message function 'elsewhere' that you could have found that Info out. Considering your position and knowledge of both sites' systems That can only be construed as subliminal advertising. We all know Sheebs is a member of TS. I do note ...

Step by step guide to reclaiming bank charges
That have been made 'illegally' by the Bank. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6170209.stm see also here: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/ However if they close your account down due to broken 'trust' you can them take them to the banking ombudsman as that in itself is unfair! All apparently ...
